REVIEW NEW MAKEUP BASE NARS NATURAL RADIANT LONGWEAR FOUNDATION

Makeup shouldn’t cover your skin, it should enhance your natural beauty, not mask it.

Makeup should not cover the skin of your face, it should enhance its natural beauty, not mask it.

I start with that phrase from the founder and creative director of Nars, because that is precisely what I like the most about the brand’s foundations. Many times they ask me for a makeup base that I recommend, and many times I have recommended Sheer Glow Foundation , which has been my favorite of the last time and has also been a cult classic for a long time. Now I have another one that is my favorite, it is the new Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation .

Nars products are specially formulated for our skin, I have never had problems with my sensitive skin with their products. You’ll love this full coverage foundation with a natural shine. Its lightweight, breathable formula smooths skin, hides blemishes and uneven tone for a visibly enhanced skin base.

Let’s talk about this new base and what is special or different about it

The Natural Radiant Foundation is infused with NARS Skin Optimization Complex . The unique combination of raspberry , apple and watermelon extracts helps to maintain and renew the elastic fibers of the skin . This wonderful optimizing complex instantly smoothes the complexion and gradually improves skin texture over time. The skin will appear more radiant.

Promising up to sixteen hours of wear, a Natural Radiant Foundation transfer and sweat resistant formula promises not to fade throughout the day and still looks fresh and vibrant, just like just applied.

What is better? The Natural Radiant Foundation comes in 33 shades that match skin to expertly match all skin tones and undertones. The unique base combination of a translucent base with micro-yellow coated pigments and tone-balancing mineral powders mimic skin tone, ensuring a perfect match with your skin.

Ti po skin:  this base is recommended for Normal skin, combination and oily skin types . I have combination skin, oily in the T zone and dry on the cheeks, in addition to sensitive skin. This foundation has worked very well for my skin type, I have been using this foundation exclusively since I have it, to give you a review of my experience.

So for those who have oily skin too, who always ask me about good foundations, here is an excellent one, which will keep your skin free to perspire and not clog pores.

I have not developed pimples, acne, and my skin has not been dry since I have used it. In addition, for those who have rosacea, it also works, due to the properties named below.

  • FREE OF PARABENS
  • ALCOHOL FREE: especially for sensitive skin
  • FREE OF OILS (oil free):
  • WITHOUT PERFUME: not to irritate the skin.
  • DERMATOLOGICALLY TESTED – Lab tested not to cause allergies or irritations.
  • NON-COMEDOGENIC – Contains ingredients that do not clog pores

Characteristics of the formula according to Nars:

  • RESISTANT TO TRANSFER: regarding this, in my case if it transfers to the cell phone, which is where it happened to me. I generally use hands-free, but the times I haven’t had it, it has happened to me.
  • SWEAT RESISTANT – I think in hot summer I could try this as the weather is nice at the moment.
  • FADE-RESISTANT: does not fade, resists oxidation so the color remains the same all day. This is very good, because with other bases the opposite happens.

Texture: light and soft, blends very well with the skin. It is not difficult to spread on the skin. Light and radiant at the same time.

Finish: natural and radiant finish. For my taste, the best combination, it leaves your skin not shiny or matte, but with a small radiant sparkle when moving your face, subtle. Unlike Sheer Glow which is more radiant than this one.

Coverage:  Medium to full level buildable coverage. I recommend using just a little bit at a time. I only use one layer, but I go over some spots, since I don’t have the concealer from the same brand and I have from another brand that is very clear. The best part is that you can get FULL coverage WITHOUT THE WEIGHT of a heavy foundation. It looks natural, like skin, it does not look or feel heavy or dry.

Tone s: there are 33 tones, yes !! many shades to find the perfect one for your skin tone. Mine is SANTA FE , just like Sheer Glow and the stick, this is great, because I don’t even have to retest my tone, because it’s the same!

Duration: the brand promises 16 hours of wear resistant to fading, I do not know if there is anyone who has been able to try it for so many hours, but I have tried it the whole day of a normal day from morning to night before removing my makeup and it remains effectively all the time.

Packaging: glass bottle, the way I like it, more hygienic. It has an air pump, pump, so you do not have to insert your fingers to remove the product and you remove the minimum amount necessary to apply. It has a transparent plastic cap to cover it, unlike Sheer Glow, I don’t know if mine came without a cap or none.

C OW apply: I recommend you go slowly applying, apply a pump or an amount the size of a pearl base and entibies with your fingertips. Because Nars products always recommend that we apply them without a brush, better with our fingers. So we go with little quantity, so as not to accentuate lines and imperfections. Avoid over-application around the eyes or the contours of the face. Apply foundation starting in the center of the face and blend with your fingertips. First one area and then another. And if you want more coverage you apply another little.

Summary I think I love this new foundation from NARS, because it works well for my skin type, the coverage is great for me, because it looks natural and I feel very comfortable wearing it, it covers my blemishes naturally too, not as a mask.

At the end of the day, I get a little shiny around the T-zone, but use a tissue and voila!

But I’ll tell you that I did an experiment hahaha, I used the Sheer Glow foundation on half my face for a full day and I used this one for the other half. And before removing my makeup at night, I looked in the mirror and tried to see some difference between the two, regarding the brightness, but I noticed that both of them shone a little in the T zone, but when I asked my husband, which side My face shone more, just told me that it shone more where it had Sheer Glow. Sure, I know that Sheer Glow is not for my skin type specifically (I explain that in her review), but it worked well for me anyway.

Now the biggest difference between Sheer Glow and Natural Radiant Longwear is that the former you always have the shine (not as greasy), but radiant, while the newer, you only have the shine as you move your head.

Personally I will continue to use both, but when I have a longer day I will prefer to use this one!
